True North Times
April 2010
Well everyone, it seems that all the snow pack acted as an insulator blanket… or something! Something caused things to ‘push’ early, in my 12 years in the Midwest, I can’t remember a spring this early and warm. We finally got started on mowing the 2nd week in April, and we had many properties that honestly could have been mowed the last week in March… we just weren’t ready yet! We’re officially having our busiest year ever, lots of people wanted to ‘get going early’ on curb appeal, so we’ve been doing lots of edging and mulching, little ‘feel good, curb appeal touchup’ stuff. Turf fertilization began near the end of March, and we’ve been moving lots of plant material as well. Throw in a few patios, landscape jobs, water features… its made for a busy time! We’ve just been keeping our ‘heads down and our elbows up’… it seems to be working!
Hope to see many of you soon, either at one of our two Open Houses (Saturday April 24, and Saturday May 8, see more information below), or at the Orchard in Bloom Festival at Holiday Park, April 30-May 2 (see more below). We’re officially selling June on landscaping, and it won’t be long until that’s gone and we’re selling July, so hurry if you want to ‘get on the board’ with a project. Enjoy the great weather!
